How long were Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden prior to being expelled?
The Bible does not tell us how long Adam and Eve stayed in the garden. A stay of just a few days, a few hours, or many years would be consistent with the text. However, I do believe we have clues. Adam was placed in the garden with Eve and told to multiply and reproduce. Prior to taking the forbiden fruit, Adam and Even were not in rebellion against God, so we would expect them to obey God. When Adam and Eve were expelled from the garden, we have no indication of anyone other than the two of them being sent out.
Therefore, given the likelyhood that a man and a woman in their situation would be likely to begin producing children very soon, it seems probable that their stay in the garden was very short. Not even long enough for one birth.
